Happy Halloween!
Halloween was SUPER! Ryan and I dressed up as superheroes. He was Batman, and I was Superman. It was perfect because the "S" could stand for Superman, or Stanley! Erica made my costume, and the best part was, since I'm flat and I had a cape, I could fly around like a kite, so I looked just like the real Superman.
We had lots of candy to pass out to the trick-or-treaters, and we still have a little bit left over to eat. The neighbors across the street had music playing and a light show in their driveway, so we got to have a dance party, too!
After that, we watched Hocus Pocus. If you haven't seen it, you should, because it's a great Halloween movie.
Even though Halloween was a blast, I am really looking forward to the vacation we get to go on soon--a cruise! We are going to the Bahamas, and the islands of St. Maarten and St. Thomas. So I better go get packed up, and I'm sure I will have some great stories and pictures to share when I get back!

Fun at the beach
Tampa is so much fun! I have been so busy doing so many fun activities and meeting new people that I have barely had time to update my blog!
A few weeks ago, I got to go to the beach. Can you believe it?! In Florida, you can still go to the beach in October! We spent the whole day lying by the ocean and playing volleyball in the sand.
I'm still a little scared of the water, so I didn't go in, but I got to stand right by the water and see all the boats and jet skis. At first, I was a little worried, because being flat makes a small ocean breeze feel like a hurricane, but Ryan and Erica built me a sandcastle to stay in to keep me safe.
We have so much planned and can't wait to tell you all about it! Tonight, I'm dressing up for Halloween to go trick-or-treating. Can't wait to show you my costume!

Hi! My name is Flat Stanley. I accidentally got squished as flat as a pancake when a bulletin board fell on me. Other than being flat, I'm perfectly fine! In fact, I've actually discovered some advantages to being flat. I can be a kite, and I can slide under doors.
I normally live with my friend Nathan in Michigan, but he thought it would be a good idea for me to explore the world and see new things. For my first trip, he sent me to stay with his cousins Ryan and Erica in Tampa, Florida! So far, it's awesome. It's really hot here, and we are planning on going to the beach this weekend.
I will be staying here until Thanksgiving, and I can't wait to discover new advantages of being flat in Tampa and share them here with you!
